Logan Renshaw was originally from Cranberry Twp. and spent many years cheering for SVJFAC as well as the middle school and high school before moving to Florida with her family. Tragically, last winter, her life was cut short in a car accident.
SVJFAC will be awarding two $500 scholarships in Logan’s honor to 2 SV graduating Seniors. SVJFAC is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Logan Renshaw Memorial Scholarship (aka SVJFAC Alumni Scholarship), available to Seneca Valley students entering college in the fall of 2019.
Two $500 scholarships are available:
• $500 Scholarship to Graduating Senior who participated in SVJFAC Cheer
• $500 Scholarship to Graduating Senior who participated in SVJFAC Football
Eligibility
• Students must have participated for a minimum of 1 full season in the SVJFAC Cheer or Football Program as a youth
• Student must be accepted to a College or University with plans to attend in Fall 2019
• Student must have a 3.0 GPA or better
• Student must attend Seneca Valley Senior High School
While ongoing participation in cheer/dance team or football through high school will be considered a plus, we encourage ALL eligible SVJFAC alumni to apply.
Requirements
• An acceptance letter from a school within the United States
• A typed summary letter, addressed to the SVJFAC Board of Directors, to include the following information:
O Applicant Name, Address, Phone Number, and Email Address
o Year or Range of Years participating in SVJFAC
o Summary of Applicant’s Previous and Current Community Service Work/involvement
o Did you participate in cheer, dance team, or football in high school? Please explain.
o In less than 500 words, please explain: What did participating in SVJFAC mean to you?
Award
• Applications will be reviewed by the SVJFAC Board of Directors who will vote to select each scholarship winner from the pool of applicants
• Each Scholarship is intended to be used exclusively for school tuition and related expenses
• A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient directly to cover these expenses
• Scholarship award recipient will be notified of the selection around the end of June
• Applications must be submitted electronically no later than June 1, 2019
Submission Instructions
• A scanned college acceptance letter, proof of meeting GPA requirements, and typed summary letter should be emailed no later than June 1, 2019.
