2019 Spring Flag Football Mini-Camp

Saturday, April 20th - Saturday May 18th

Hello SVJFAC Families!

As a reminder, the first day of Coach Fischer’s FREE Flag Football Mini-Camp is Saturday, April 20th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Below you will find some Frequently Asked Questions and Answers.

FAQ’s:

Where is the flag football camp being held? Linder Field at Cranberry Park (next to the Dog Park)

Where do I park? There is parking located near the field but due to the number of campers we have attending this year, you may need to park by the Children’s Play area located right before you enter Linder Parks entrance.

Can I stay to watch the camp and games? Absolutely, in fact, it is encouraged. For the first hour, the campers will learn the fundamentals of football, play fun games such as sharks and minnows, and run through our super fun obstacle course.

When should I get there? Once again, due to the number of campers this year, I highly recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early. This will help speed up the check in process and the kids will be directed to their designated area.

Who is eligible to play? All Boys and Girls of all skill levels Ages 6-14 years old

What should my athlete bring each week? Please have your child dress for the weather. Bring a water bottle, a mouthpiece (optional), Cleats for traction (NO METAL CLEATS) and lastly, a great attitude. It would also be a good idea to bring blankets or garbage bags for the athlete to sit on for the ride home. The kids tend to get a little dirty.

Will the camp be cancelled due to inclement Weather? Your child’s safety is SVJFAC’s primary concern. Our athletes will play in rain, sleet, snow, or shine. The only way the camp will be cancelled and/or delayed would be due to lightning. All parents are requested to stay close if this should happen.

What else is going on at the camp? Glad you asked. Our organization will have a concession stand set up for all spectators and campers. We also will have our SV apparel Tent with some really great SV gear

to purchase. Lastly, we will also be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a Steeler Tailgate Package. This drawing will be held on the last day of the camp.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at brandon.fischer@yahoo.com.

I look forward to seeing everyone soon,

Coach Brandon
