SVJFAC seeks to instill in the youth of our community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect so that they may grow to be good and healthy men and women. These objectives will be achieved by providing competitive football t
SVJFAC offers a mascot program for girls entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2017 These girls will cheer alongside the cheerleaders on the sidelines at games.
We ideally accept 1 mascot per squad. The total number of mascots depends on the total number of cheer squads. A second mascot may be considered per squad at the discretion of the Coordinators. Priority is given to siblings of registering football players and cheerleaders. If there are still spots available, mascots without siblings will be accepted. If there are more candidates than spots available, we will go with a lottery draw.
Mascot placement will not be completed until after the football draft unless being placed with a sibling cheerleader.
Practice schedule for the mascots is yet to be determined, but will not exceed 2 days a week in August and 1 day a week for the rest of the season.
Please note the involvement of the mascots varies depending on the squad they are placed. Mascots placed on squads with the older girls or competitive squads may not have as much involvement due the complexity of what these squads are working on. Our goal is to have ALL mascots prepared to do sideline cheers at games. We will strive to come up with a practice schedule to be sure all mascots are equipped to do so.
